Roll Gary Roll

In these parts when you hear the name ‘Gary Walters’ the thought that comes to most peoples minds is ‘Crazy Stunts’.  And in many ways I would agree.  But as I was watching Gary give his announcing press conference for this years stunt of ‘Rollerblading from Brainerd to Washington DC’ a couple of weeks ago I saw Gary in a different way. 

Gary is passionate! Webster’s 1828 Dictionary says to be passionate is to be; “Highly excited; vehement; warm; applied to things; as passionate affection; passionate desire; passionate concern”.  Another word that is often used to express passion is ‘suffering’ and Gary has suffered much in the past few years in his quests to raise financial support and recruit mentors for Kinship Partners. 

Kinship Partners desperately needs more people and especially men in Crow Wing and southern Cass counties with a passion to mentor children.  Today we have 48 children, predominantly boys, on the waiting list. Kinship Partners also needs your financial support.  We do not receive any local, state or federal funding and rely solely on grants and the generosity of individuals like you to financially support this much needed program.
